Status Report:
- We have some tomatoes planted, more to procure. Marianna had mentioned the desire to get some heirloom tomatoes, and Judy is working on contacting her to see how that went.
- Drip sprinkler system: setting up zone 1 is a primary goal, and we'll set up more as required. The branches to each plant have been assembled, but they need to be put onto the hose (hole punched and barbed end of branch inserted). Anyone with spare time at the garden can work on that. Stacy plans to get that finished up within a few days.
- All areas were watered.
- Peas are coming up nicely, and cucumbers are emerging. Most family boxes are sprouting something or another.
- We have all 7 days of the week accounted for in the watering schedule on the right. Michelle has offered to be a stand-in for anyone that can't water on any given day.
- Another chore for anyone who stops by: Steve has procured several tires (about a dozen?) for protecting plants from hose-draggers. You know who you are. I'm one of them. They can be placed along the path and in strategic locations for keeping hoses out of the garden (corners, etc.) and they might as well protect plants also (i.e. you can place them so that a plant is in the middle).
